New Directions Counseling Center is continually striving to offer a full range of group therapy opportunities for our clients. Please call us to learn more about the groups currently in progress and/or to learn more about our upcoming groups.

Unlocking the Mystery: Keys to Making and Maintaining Healthy Friendships~ A social skills group to help strengthen relationships such as assertiveness, addressing bullying, managing emotions, problem-solving, handling disappointments, the art of compromise/negotiations, being flexible, and self-awareness. Group Ages and Times
- Grades 3-5 Every Other Monday from 5:30-6:30
- Grades 6-8 Every Other Monday from 6:30-7:30
- Grades 9-12 Every Other Wednesday from 5:30-6:30
Waiting to EXHALE and Being Happy in the Meantime: A Therapy Group for African-American Women
- Learn how to EXHALE (Experience a Happy Life Everyday)
- Explore in a safe environment your feelings about being single in a partnered world
- Identify personal barriers to creating satisfying and healthy romantic relationships
- Learn how men and women may communicate and relate differently
- Learn healthy approaches to your relationships with men
- Identify cultural pressures and unrealistic assumptions that may be preventing you from achieving satisfying relationships
